A Hustle Of The Flesh

Sacred event ordained by the Almighty God

Exclusively for married couples, to strengthen the bond and procreate

Xcluding the spinster, bachelor, not forgetting the underage

Uniting the man and his wife, before God and man

Adding a spice to life and giving life to the next generation

Liaison of a male and a female, within the protective boundaries of marriage

I -- Indulge me as I introduce to you, a friend, whom I would call P

N -- Never did my friend P compromise on his values, he truly was an upright fellow

T -- Time and again, P would try to pull me back onto the right path, he would always speak to me in a still calm voice.

E -- Every time P tried, I would listen and try to change my ways but in no time, you would see me

R -- Running to embrace my old ways with vigor

C -- Cursing P for disturbing me, I would go on to immerse myself in life’s pleasures

O -- Overindulging in whatever forbidden fruit I come across and licking my lips afterwards

U -- Underestimating the consequences of my actions, I went ahead to take part in the abomination, that nearly cost me my very life

R – Rushing to my rescue once again, was P, who paid my debt and cleaned me up

S – Submission and obedience was all he asked in return and I complied, without any hesitation

E – Emptying myself of everything, to present myself as a vessel, ready for his use.

P gave me another definition for the forbidden fruit I ate over and over again, without remorse. P made a pact with me, protected my pride, paid the price, and prepared me for the perfect life.
